Data Engineering & Operations Specialist $101,504 – 125,868 / year minimum starting pay Job Level: Individual Contributor Location: Columbia, Missouri (On-site, Full-Time) Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands.  Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.  What You Will Be Doing: Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines, data integration solutions, and data architecture. Additionally, expertise in Snowflake is required to ensure efficient and scalable data storage, processing, and analytics. What We're Looking For: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred. • Proven experience (4+ years) as a Senior Data Engineer, with expertise in Qlik Replicate, Compose, and DBTLabs & Astronomer, combined with hands-on experience in Snowflake typically required. • Proficiency in Qlik Replicate, Compose, and Github, DBTLabs & Astronomer for data integration, replication, and transformation. • Strong understanding of data engineering principles, data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. • Expertise in Snowflake, including data ingestion, storage, performance optimization, and security. • Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and working with cloud-based data solutions and services. • Familiarity with data quality, data governance, and data lifecycle management practices. • Solid programming skills in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for data manipulation and automation. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with the ability to diagnose and resolve data engineering issues. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. • Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
