Department Overview   Our Marketing department focuses on building and promoting the W&D brand to ensure that everyone understands the benefits of W&D.  Our specialized marketing experts collaborate to provide excellent service internally and externally. Our specialties include Brand & Content, Creative, Marketing Strategy & Planning, Digital (Web, Email and Advertising), PR/ Social Media , Events, and Operations and Analytics.     The Impact You Will Have  As a Senior Graphic Designer , you will be an active and important participant in the design process, from concept to creation, to support the needs of the Marketing team. We are looking for designers who are highly creative, passionate, and motivated to produce – qualities essential to help drive our marketing to the next level. If you are a self-starter, this is a rare opportunity to join a growing in-house agency in a successful company intent on building an industry-leading marketing program.         Primary Responsibilities   • Actively participate in group brainstorming/concept development sessions with the Creative Director, Art Director, and/or key stakeholders    • Interpret needs and create innovative designs to effectively convey desired ideas     • Take ownership of all areas of the design process from initial prototype to creation to the preparation of final mechanicals    • Create eye-catching brochures, presentations, and other marketing collateral that preserves and elevates the brand     • Work closely with the Creative Director, Art Director, and stakeholders, taking direction and implementing changes to improve design and consistently adhere to brand standards     • Manage and document the approval process needed for each type of project     • Ability to lead design initiatives and work collaboratively across the creative team to help facilitate design direction and assist with other projects, as needed     • Prioritize projects and handle multiple tasks efficiently     • Provide input to continually improve the creative process     • Assist in the QA process     • Maintain a positive attitude and share a passion for growing the Walker & Dunlop brand with other career-minded individuals across the company     • Communicate and problem-solve daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders     • Learn and expand creative skills to build a career in graphic design     • Perform other duties as assigned   • Attendance is generally required from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm local time, Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays Education and Experience   • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related discipline    • Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer    • B2B design experience preferred       Knowledge, Skills and Abilities   • High level of proficiency with industry standard Adobe CC applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite    • Experience creating multimedia presentations     • Thorough understanding of marketing strategy and ability to execute strategy with design solutions     • Experience working with clients to identify needs and present solutions     • Strong data visualization design skills    • Exceptional typography skills    • Ability to take direction, work quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines, and communicate clearly and effectively with collaborators across all levels of the organization     • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy    • Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task, work independently and learn technical information quickly     • Flexible problem-solver able to adapt to changing circumstances and needs     • Strong project management skills, organizational skills, and time management skills    • Excellent teamwork to engage productively with other design professionals     • The ability and desire to keep up to date with commercial design trends to stay on the leading edge of creativity     • Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes   • Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders   This position has an estimated base salary of $75,000 - $85,000 plus discretionary bonus. An employment offer is based on the applicant’s relevant work experience, applicable knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
