Job description

Line of Business: Cement & White Job Summary: Heidelberg Materials is seeking a skilled Millwright to perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks on plant equipment and machinery, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. Job Responsibilities: * Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including but not limited to conveyors, crushers, mills, kilns, and packaging equipment. * Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective repair solutions. * Perform preventative maintenance checks and inspections, replacing worn parts and making necessary adjustments to optimize equipment performance. * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide maintenance and repair activities. * Operate various hand and power tools, as well as specialized diagnostic and repair equipment. * Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and working at heights. * Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). * Collaborate with production personnel and other maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize plant operations. * Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of new technologies and equipment. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. Job Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED required. * Completion of an accredited industrial maintenance apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training preferred. * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within a heavy manufacturing or cement plant environment. * Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. * Strong understanding of industrial safety practices and procedures. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. * Basic computer literacy for CMMS data entry. * Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required. * Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb stairs and ladders, and work in various environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, dust). The successful candidate may be required to pass a mechanical aptitude test, and will be required to complete the OJT program. Internal and External training will be required. Initial OJT Training will be done on day shift. Pay Rate: $32.38
