The Role CCE is seeking a highly motivated candidate with utility-scale solar experience to perform required preventative maintenance activities on solar PV systems. The Field Service Technician (Level 3) will also respond to corrective maintenance cases to troubleshoot, test, and repair PV systems ensuring they are following safe practices while working Essential Duties and Responsibilities: <ul> <li>  Conducting on-site routine maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities</li> <li>  DC and AC testing included but not limited to polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, communication, insulation resistance testing, I-V curve tracing</li> <li> Maintaining the vehicle, tools, meters and truck stock</li> <li> Creating service reports and maintaining spare parts inventory</li> <li> Identify safety hazards and take appropriate action to remove or eliminate hazards</li> <li> Create operability and major issue/downtime reports</li> <li>  Respond on-call for emergencies as directed by your supervisor</li> </ul> Preferred Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: <ul> <li> NABCEP Certified Installation Professional</li> <li> 3-4+ years of experience PV maintenance, including PV DC operations, AC medium voltage systems, network communications and monitoring</li> <li> Experience with operation of SCADA, DAS and UPS systems</li> <li> Skilled in the use of testing equipment and tools such as Thermographic Electrical Inspection, IV Curve Tracing, Meggers, Ground Fault Detection</li> <li> Experience in all aspects of PV maintenance, including DC systems, AC medium voltage systems, and network communications and monitoring</li> <li> Diagnostic capabilities to troubleshoot and correct problems found</li> <li> Knowledge of National Electrical Code and standard design/construction practices</li> <li> Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams</li> <li> Proficiency with MS Office suite</li> <li> Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight</li> <li> Valid Driver’s License</li> <li> OSHA 10 HR Training</li> <li> NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in workplace</li> <li> Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends</li> <li>Embrace and live by the mission and values of Cypress Creek Energy</li> </ul> Physical Requirements/Work Environment: <ul> <li> Work is to be performed in the field and in the office.</li> <li> Excellent attendance and punctuality</li> <li> Understanding of and adherence to safety and quality procedures and practices</li> <li> Positive project team attitude</li> <li>  Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. PPE personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; hard hat, arc flash protection, safety glasses, hearing protection)</li> <li> Must have the ability to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk for 8-10 hours a day.</li> <li> Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis</li> </ul> We value strong teamwork and dedication to detailed execution in a fast-paced startup atmosphere. Location: The role is remote with a home base in Conover, NC, with the expectation of daily travel to project sites within the surrounding region. Regular in-person presence on site to required.
