description our administrative assistants are a key part of our front office team helping clients and providing support services for our accounting staff in a variety of functions. in this full-time entry-entry level position, you will provide a variety of clerical and administrative services to our firm with over 40 team members. you will support the team with administrative tasks throughout the year, with extra bandwidth needed february – april during tax season. your can-do attitude and organizational skills help you complete assigned tasks efficiently and with an attention to detail to ensure our work is of the highest quality. who we are: platform accounting group is a rapidly growing professional services firm providing tax, accounting, assurance, it consulting, and soon to be wealth management services to small and medium sized businesses and their owners. we currently have 50+ offices across 15 states with much more growth on the horizon. we fully understand that every employee has different needs, so our unique business model allows for more flexible work arrangements than most firms can offer. enjoy a professional and dynamic work environment while making work/life balance a priority. what you will do: greet clients and maintain a professional and welcoming front office environment assemble and electronically file individual, partnership, corporation, and fiduciary tax returns answer phones receive client payments and update client accounts. onboarding of new clients in cch, e-file cabinet and karbon finalize monthly billing for bill managers. order office supplies and schedule building maintenance. scan and file documents as requested. assist with outgoing mail compile client packets and meeting documents. support tax and client accounting department with document processing as requested. coordinate and order lunch for business meetings. assist with event coordination as needed. electronically file returns position requires attention to detail and analytical skills, flexible and positive attitude. what we look for: professional office experience 1 yr + excellent organizational skills and flexibility. strong communication and interpersonal skills. ability to establish priorities and efficiently manage time. friendly disposition. comfortable working in a fast-paced environment when required. desire to grow with the firm / desire for upward mobility. excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills with clients and team members. strong pc skills, including microsoft office suite. knowledge in karbon and cch a plus what we offer: opportunity for advancement within a rapidly growing professional services firm ongoing informal and formal training and development competitive compensation 401(k) and medical benefits the expected salary range for this role is $20 - $30 per hour, which represents a good faith and reasonable estimate. compensation decisions depend on numerous factors including bona fide qualifications and the facts and circumstances of each case at the time of hiring. relevant qualifications include, but are not limited to employee education, training, skillset, credentials/certifications, relevant work experience, geographic work location (including if the employee will be hybrid or fully in-office), the scope and responsibilities of the role, internal level and peer equity, and market considerations. applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
