Certified Nursing Assistant

description bayside care center, a skilled nursing facility, is seeking certified nursing assistants who want to use their skills to improve the lives of our residents! we are also looking for a driver to assist in picking up newly admitted residents and occasional medical appointments. we offer education assistance as well as c.n.a. to lvn bridge programs. let us help you achieve your health care and nursing goals. compass health believes in realizing their employee's career goals. we offer career growth opportunities, corporate scholarship opportunities and tuition reimbursement. 2:00pm-10:30pm shift is currently preferred. duties are as follows but not limited to: 1. handling and serving residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort. 2. learn to recognize signs and symptoms of adverse reactions. 3. following instructions and directions of the charge nurse of the station to establish facility routine and policy. 4. give direct resident care such as bathing or assisting residents with bed baths, showers or tub baths; positioning of residents in bed; routine oral hygiene and denture care; assisting residents in transfers and ambulating; giving bedpan and urinal and commode when necessary; preparing residents for meals and feeding when necessary. 5. passing out nourishment and drinking water. 6. giving related resident care such as helping in admissions, transfers and discharges of residents; giving post mortem care. 7. giving residents care treatments such as taking temperatures, pulses, respirations and blood pressures; applying ice bags; recording fluid intake and output; collecting specimens and taking care of foley catheters. 8. using equipment such as bed cradles; hoyer lifts; wheelchairs, walkers; canes, crutches, sphygmomanometers and stethoscopes. 9. keeping residents’ rooms clean and neat, wiping up spills, keeping bed tables and closets clean and orderly. benefits · competitive wages · health insurance · health savings account · dental insurance · vision insurance · life insurance · 401(k) · tuition and student loan reimbursement · flexible schedule · paid sick time · paid time off · continuing education credits join our team and gain valuable experience in the healthcare field! salary $21.00 - $23.00 per hour full time and part time available am pm noc physical setting long term care in person #t2 to view our privacy policy, view here: ca consumer protection act notice to employees and applicants – compass health, inc. requirements must have a valid cna certification ability to pass background, reference checks, physical & tb clearance. must be able to lift 50 pounds. this job requires long periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting.
