Overview Department:The Maine College of Health Professions (MCHP) Schedule: Full Time, 40 Hours, Variable Shifts Facility: Central Maine Medical Center Location: 70 Middle Street, Lewiston, Maine 04240 Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. The system includes Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, a 250-bed, not-for-profit regional referral hospital that is home to the region's only Cancer Care Center, an orthopedic ambulatory surgery center, and the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute. CMMC also serves as the central Maine base for LifeFlight of Maine, the state's only medical helicopter service. To learn more, visit [link in the portal] Responsibilities • Teach nursing courses – didactic and clinical• Select learning experiences and guide students in achieving desired outcomes• Participate in the evaluation process of students in achieving desired outcomes• Advise students• Participate in curriculum development• Actively engage in activities that advance the mission and goals of the College• Maintain clinical and academic expertise• Comply with requirements and policies delineated in the MCHP faculty handbook• Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications • A master’s degree in nursing from an accredited university or college, or a bachelor's degree in nursing with a plan to complete a master's degree in nursing from an accredited university or college within six years of enrollment. • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Maine or documentation of pursuit of a license to practice in Maine.• Current American Heart Association healthcare provider BLS certification.• Two (2) or more years of experience in the practice of professional nursing, preferably in the clinical area in which student clinical laboratory experiences will occur.• Willingness to work according to a flexible schedule (nights and weekends may be required).• Previous teaching experience in undergraduate or graduate nursing program.
