In this role, you will ensure MultiCare patients and families have the best possible experience when visiting facilities across our health system. Responsibilities • You will be able to evaluate routine malfunctioning conditions, initiate and perform repairs • You will install mechanical and electrical equipment in accordance with diagrams sketches, operational manuals, and manufacturers specifications • You will perform routine preventive maintenance • You will collaborate with supervisor in obtaining bids and inspections on externally run projects • You will partner with a service-oriented attitude and professional integrity Requirements • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED); or three to six (3-6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Must possess a City of Tacoma Chief Operating Engineer License • Minimum four (4) years experience working in at least one of the major building trades: Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, commercial carpentry • Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state About Deaconess Hospital   Founded in 1896, MultiCare Deaconess Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $34.48 - $46.40 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
