We boldly challenge what’s possible for a sustainable world.   Job Summary:   The Design Special Support Engineer will enable the sales of Airside products through cross-functional knowledge sharing, complex problem-solving, and innovative decision-making.  In this role, you will: • Support offering the right mix of products, systems, solutions, and competitive intelligence tools to drive the growth of the Airside business. • Serve as an advisor to our product support and portfolio management teams on product and process capabilities. • Provide knowledgeable specialized solutions for our Airside portfolio.   • This exciting role requires creative problem solving, out of the box thinking, and strong technical acumen!  You will be working in a collaborative environment with an in-person team at least 3 days a week.     Responsibilities:   • Support special design requests, custom designs and creating associated custom submittal drawings. • Work with internal or external customers in the areas of, but not limited to, design specials/technical/systems/application engineering/customer specification/job expediting and pricing questions. • Serve as Airside subject matter expert through technical and application knowledge of products and understanding of competitor product offerings.  Continually advance this knowledge through personal development goals. • Actively collaborate and serve as a trusted partner with product engineering, application engineering, manufacturing, product support teams, and product management.  This engagement will facilitate alignment on special design direction for our products. • Partner with Product Management team on execution of pricing strategies and systems to ensure price, margin and costs will meet stated goals. • Leverage Lean thinking and project management skills on a diverse array of projects including product development/ development of products, partnerships, promotional activities, and marketing literature . • Partner with the Product Management team to assist with development and execution of commercialization plans for new and existing airside products. • Coach and develop product support team members with customer, product, and process knowledge. • Act as the internal champion always balancing the needs of the internal and external customers. • Provide additional product support via email, phone, and Zendesk as needed.   Qualifications:   • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical degree required.  Electrical engineering experience and/or MBA preferred. • Minimum 5 years of experience within industrial or manufacturing sector.  Experience could include product management, engineering, marketing/sales or field support experience. • Tactfulness and assertiveness; must be effective and clear decision-maker under pressure situations; able to deal effectively with internal and/or external customers. • Solid organization skills and flexibility to handle a variety of time sensitive tasks and projects • Ability to effectively lead projects with a diverse set of stakeholders • PC and end user computer use (Creo, AutoCAD, Revit, Zendesk, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Adobe). • Experience in HVAC industry preferred. • Experience in Lean/Six Sigma preferred. • Ability to travel up to 10%   Key Competencies: To be successful in the role, the following skills are required:   • Building Relationships • Product Knowledge • Competitor Insights • Problem assessment and problem analysis/solving skills. • Energy and desire to drive continuous improvement in processes.   We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs that help our employees thrive in both their professional and personal lives.  We are proud of our winning culture which is inclusive and respectful at its core.  We share passion for serving customers, caring for others, and boldly challenging what’s possible for a sustainable world. Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $89,585.00 - $124,950.00 Compensation Type: Salary Incentive Eligible: No Sales Commission Eligible: No Disclaimer : We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
