We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Hospital Medicine team. Opportunity Highlights • Employment through Novant Health Medical Group • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits • Shift-based scheduling model • Relocation assistance and continuing medical education allowance • Paid professional liability coverage • Strong focus on work-life balance and schedule flexibility • Collaborative practice with hospitalists, specialists, nursing, pharmacy, care management, and other clinical partners • Opportunities to participate in quality improvement, program development, and clinical leadership • Access to modern hospital facilities and expanding inpatient programs • Opportunity to live and work in the Hilton Head and South Carolina Lowcountry region What You'll Do • Provide comprehensive inpatient care in collaboration with the Hospital Medicine team • Complete patient evaluations, histories, physical examinations, and clinical assessments • Manage admissions, daily rounding, and discharges with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, laboratory testing, and medications within the scope of practice • Respond to changes in patients’ clinical conditions and coordinate escalation of care when appropriate • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, nursing, pharmacy, care management, rehabilitation services, and other members of the interdisciplinary team • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions • Support transitions of care and communication with outpatient providers • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and hospital-based initiatives • Contribute to the continued growth and development of Hospital Medicine services • Demonstrate a strong commitment to Novant Health’s standards for patient-centered care What We're Looking For Experience and Skills • Strong interest in hospital medicine and inpatient clinical care • Ability to manage medically complex adult patients in a fast-paced hospital environment • Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and decision-making skills • Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills • Ability to prioritize multiple patient-care responsibilities • Commitment to high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centered care • Interest in supporting program growth and clinical improvement initiatives • Previous hospitalist, internal medicine, critical care, emergency medicine, or other inpatient experience preferred Qualifications • Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program • Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner • Current or eligible South Carolina Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license • Certification appropriate for the patient population and inpatient scope of practice • Current BLS certification • ACLS certification required or obtained within the designated onboarding period • Prescriptive authority and DEA registration as required for the position • Ability to meet Novant Health credentialing and medical staff requirements Why Choose Novant Health?
