What We Offer Join Our Team as a Child Care Lead Teacher II   Location: The Learning Place at Thomasville Medical Center Hours: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:45AM-5:45PM or 9:00AM-6:00PM   Are you passionate about shaping young minds and creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children can grow and thrive? As a Child Care Lead Teacher II at Novant Health’s Learning Place, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional early childhood education and care.   What You’ll Do:   • Provide a warm, safe, and nurturing learning experience that supports each child’s unique development • Uphold the center’s goals, guidelines, and high standards of care • Ensure full compliance with North Carolina Division of Child Development regulations and Health Department sanitation requirements • Foster a positive and inclusive environment where children , families, and team members feel valued and supported   Important Application Information: Candidates must upload proof of DHHS Background Determination and Workforce/Status letters during the application process. To expedite your application, please upload them with your application.   What We're Looking For:   • Education:  Two year Associates Degree Required. AA/AAS degree in Early Childhood or related field as defined by DHHS Division of Child Development Education unit. • Experience Required: Minimum of 2-year verifiable experience in a childcare center, or years of experience working with children up to 12 years of age. • Licensure/Certification/Registration Required: NC Credentials EDU 119 or the equivalency defined by regulatory compliance Division of Child Development Workforce Unit. BSAC for school age children/summer camp. CDL license (if hired for driving buses). CPR/First Aid within 2 months of hire. SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) within 2 months of hire ( infants up to 2 years of age). Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096. • Additional Skills Required:   • DHHS NC Division of Child Development Criminal Background Letter (required renewal every 3 years), and Workforce Education or education verification. • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. • BSAC required for those working with school age children. • CPR/First Aid completion within 2 months of hire. • ITS SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome training) for teachers work in the classroom infants up to 2 years of age within 2 months of hire. •  Additional Skills Preferred: Playground safety training.
